Nurses Available was started as a private duty nursing agency in 1979 to serve the residents of Lancaster County. The mission then and now is to provide a cost effective alternative to admitting a loved one to a nursing home and to supplement government home care programs that can't provide the amount of patient care needed. The Berks County, PA metropolitan area offices were opened in 1986.

In 1990, all offices began filling the staffing needs of nursing homes, hospitals, doctors' offices and other health care settings. We currently provide staffing to the above in the following PA counties: Berks, Lancaster, Chester, York, Schuylkill, and Lebanon.

Our goal with private duty to the individual in the home, nursing home or hospital is to provide continuity of care by one of our caring, experienced RNs, LPNs, Certified Nursing Assistants, Nurse Aides or companions.

In order to maintain our high standards and to be informed of the ever-changing health care industry, Nurses Available is a member of the following organizations:

Nurses Available enlists a wide variety of Professionals/ Para-professionals who combine skill and experience with a caring attitude.

Our caregivers include:

• Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)

• Homemakers
• Companions

You can rest assured, because our Caregivers are thoroughly screened. All Caregivers have completed face-to-face interviews, criminal background checks, reference checks, license and certification verifications, and health screenings. All personnel are given Photo Identification Badges, so make sure you check for them at the door!

Nurses Available works for your satisfaction at affordable rates (private insurance accepted, if applicable). However, we do not accept Medicare or Medicaid. We can supplement coverage provided by these programs. We do not require a minimum number of hours or days service and request no payment in advance.

No other private duty nursing company provides better care... or a better value.
